Hair One Review

Photobucket

Review: This is Sally's version for Wen's Almond mint conditioner. I used it around 3 months ago in March. I did NOT know it doesnt lather & I LOVE lathering shampoos so this turned me off right away. I believe this was the only reason I hated it. The feeling after rinsing wasnt that great either. It felt me little slip and my hairline felt as though I just clarified. So, i'm giving it a Nay. BTW I used the one that contained Olive Oil.

Ingredients: water, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, amodimethicone, glycerine, aloe leaf juice, butylene glycol and anthemis nobilis flower extract, cofea arabica extract and vaccinium myrtillus fruit extract, roas roxburghii fruit extract, propylene glycol and rosemary leaf extract, olive fruit oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, hydrolyzed wheat protein, menthol, panthenol, behentrimonium methosulfate, BHT, Polysorbate 60, PEG 60 almond dimethylamine, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, citric acid, disodium EDTA, 1, 2-hexanediol and caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, sorbic acid, fragrance.

Recommended: For anyone looking to go shampooless. The pump bottle cost about 12.00 & the sample packet was about 3.00.

Early Merry Christmas!

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to wish Y'all a Merry Christmas. I'm gonna be helping my mom cook today and that's a 1st. A pretty busy day it is, but not too busy to post. lol. I'm going to be installing a new weave after 4 months of giving my hair a rest under a Lace wig. I'll be posting pictures of my new look in the next few days so be on the look out! I wish everyone a happy and safe Holiday.

Outre Batik Synthetic Yaki

This is the hair I'm going to be using for my install today. It'll take me about 5 hours to finish. It is synthetic and maybe last for about a month tops before it starts matting up and getting ugly. I've been using this hair for 8 months now and it's great for a temporary style, especially around the holidays. It's soft when you 1st open it and has hardly any shedding. I have the Straight yaki 18in. My hair inspirations below will help me to choose a bang style. Ugh! its so hard to choose, but I can't wait it to see the outcome. :D Pictures coming soon!

Recommendation: To anyone looking for a cheap temporary hair style.
It sells in my area for 8.99 a pack and comes in a range of colors, styles and lengths.

Hair inspiration 3

Man! These ladies above definitely give me that extra push to not only have great hair, but also to lose these extra pounds that I've gained. I can't believe the one time I decided to lose weight, it has to be over the holidays. Such temptation. Not saying that I want to be as small as them, but I want to be thick and healthy. So I got some work to do. Lauren, Megan, and Cassie. You guys are my hair and style inspirations. Also I have a bang fetish. I love a heavy side swept bang. Mmmmm! To create these hair effects all you need is setting lotion and rollers or if you decided to use heat, a large barrel curling iron and a heat protectant, but I strongly suggest rollers. Enjoy!

Shea Butter

Shea Butter Detangiling Moisturizing Hair Lotion

My Review: I heard about this product from BHM and I love it. Never have I used a detangler before, even since I was small, but not only is it a great detangler and leaves your hair soft afterwards, but it also has some awesome ingredients. It doesn't contain any mineral or petroleum oil (which in my opinion is great) and is best to use after freshly washed hair or after hair has been air dried.

Ingredients:Water - Aqua , Propylene Glycol , PEG 150 Distearate , Cetyl Alcohol , Polyquaternium-37 , Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate , PEG-1 Trideceth-6 , Soybean Oil - Glycine Soja , Glycerin , DMDM Hydantoin , Cyclomethicone , Phenyl Trimethicone , Lanolin Oil , Glyceryl Stearate , PEG-100 Distearate , Acrylamidopropyltrimonium Chloride/Acrylamide Copo , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , Stearalkonium Chloride , Fragrance - Parfum , Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil , Cocoa Seed Butter - Theobroma Cacao , Carrot Seed Oil - Daucus Carota Sativa , Shea Butter Fruit - Butyrospermum Parkii , Yellow No. 5 , Red No. 40 , Blue No. 1 , Hydrolyzed Soy Protein , Olive Fruit Oil - Olea Europaea , Mink Oil - Mustela , Jojoba Seed Oil - Simmondsia Chinensis , Tocopherol , Tea Tree Leaf Oil - Melaleuca Alternifolia , Egg Powder - Ovum , Milk Protein - Lactis Proteinum , Honey - Mel , Silk Amino Acids , Cholesterol , Corn Oil - Zea Mays , BHT , BHA , Coconut Oil - Cocos Nucifera , Safflower Seed Oil - Carthamus Tinctorius , Rosemary Leaf Extract - Rosmarinus Officinalis , Nettle Extract - Urtica Dioica , Horsetail Extract - Equisetum Hyemale Contains NO Petroleum or mineral oil.

Recommendation: To any one looking for a detangler to add to their regimen. It smells wonderful and it's water based so it goes on smooth. The price varies from place to place, but I bought it for 3.99 at any beauty supply or walgreens.

Creme of Nature's New Line: Kiwi & Citrus Shampoo

creme of nature shampoo

So I've been seeing and hearing mixed reviews about Creme of Nature since they decided to upgrade their products and supposedly add some new "ingredients" to there shampoo. Mostly the deal is with sulfates. Some say that the shampoo didn't have any and others say the sulfates have been there the whole time. I went to my local bss and browsed around at the both new and original line that was there. I read the ingredients and they both contain Soduim Laureth Sulfate. Which is basically an inexpensive foaming agent for the shampoo.

Description: Gently cleanses, detangles, and conditions while infusing dry, brittle hair with moisture.

Ingredients: ultra-pruified water, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, glycol sterate, mentha piperita (peppermint) leaf extract, ocimum basilscum (basil) extract, Polygala Senega Root Extract, Polyquaternium-10 , Cocamide DEA , Amodimethicone , Polysorbate 20 , Polyqauternium-7 , Isostearyl Ethylimidazoliniumethosulfate , Citric Acid , Tetrasodium EDTA , Kiwi Fruit Extract - Actinidia Chinensis - Certified Organic , Grapefruit Seed Extract - Citrus Grandis - Certified Organic , Watercress Extract - Nasturtium Officinale , Sage Leaf Extract - Salvia Officinalis , Thyme Extract - Thymus Vulgaris , Rosemary Leaf Extract - Rosmarinus Officinalis , Glycerin , Fragrance - Parfum , Benzyl Benzoate , Coumarin , Hydroxycitronellal , Limonene , Linalool , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone , Green 3 - CI 42053 , Yellow 10 - CI 47005

My Review: Just like every other product I decide to buy, I make sure I get people's opinions on the product I'm interested in, but this time I just bought it cause the bottle was pretty ( good job con) Now my regular shampoo is pantene relaxed and natural moisturizing poo, which has every type of sulfate you can name. So my hair reacts well to them, but since this has one I must admit I felt a difference in my hair. While lathering, my hair was easy to comb my fingers through, it was soft and felt moisturized. My natural curls, which are 4a/b btw, were more curlier and it didn't feel hash like that rough feeling. I followed it with my suave humectant condish and let my hair air dry. Added coconut oil and I was good to go.

Recommendation: To anyone looking for a moisturizing shampoo and who isn't worried about SLS (sulfates). You can find it at any beauty supply, walgreens or general store. It prices at 4.99, but I saw it at another store for cheaper. which made me mad. lol. So search around for the best buy.
