Megatek, again?

So,

Lately I've been thinking of trying out megatek again (this time consistantly) til summer to see if I'm able to get some growth to get my ends thicker and get thicker hair in general. I got a bottle stashed somewhere around here and I'm gonna break it out like fine wine on Monday. My regimen isn't gonna change much. Just gonna apply it to my scalp straight (no mix) after i use my leave in. Then either braid up my hair and wig it or do a bun. Idk yet. I really wanna weave up my hair since I will be starting cliniclas in 2 weeks. Ugh. a mess. Hope i figure out something soon. I'll have a starting picture sometime monday.

Kisses,
KF.

Hair Regimens, Yes 2 or 3!

I really thought I had my hair regimen posted on here before, but after looking over my blog...I guess I didn't. I wanted to give you guys a view of how I was taking care of my hair. I am decideing on whether to do some youtube videos =/ we'll see. I have 2 different hair regimens for when I wear my hair naturally and when I wear weaves. Here it is.

Natural Regimen:
-Clarify with baking soda/water mix bi weekly.
-Wash with Creme of Nature kiwi & citrus moisturizing shampoo (1x)
-Detangle with Suave almond & shea butter conditioner
-Aphogee 2 min reconstructor for 10 min.
-Deep Condition with Pantene relaxed and natural breakage defense deep conditioning mask.
-Apply Garnier Fuctis leave in conditioner and Air day.
-Once aidried, I apply my megatek/olive oil mix then seal with castor

Now that take on average abour 4 hrs. I like to deep condition for at least 2 hrs.

Weave Regimen:
-I basically do nothing to my hair when it's in a weave. I will spray water on my scalp and apply oil about 6 times while I have it in. I know it's not much, but I don't wan't oily looking hair =\ yeah, yeah, I know. Hopefully this will help some of you and if you have any question I'm alwas here to answer them :)

My Weave Regimen & How I Maintain My Hair Underneath

As you all should know I am a routine weave wearer. They are my staple protective style. As soon as I take one down, I have another up like clock work because I get tempted to apply heat & wear it down constantly. Not good. I choose to wear weaves because I really hate having to sit for 8 or more hrs & at this point in my life a weave is a little more convenient for me.

My "prepping for a weave" Routine:

Step One: Clarify
Step Two: Moisturizing Shampoo
Step Three: Condish to dentangle
Step Four: Apply Protein for 10 min
Step Five: DC for around 2 hours

The next steps are me braiding and then sewing in the weave. I either take two full days to do my hair or one depending if I have other plans within the next few days. I usually leave my weave in for a month- a month in a half tops. To be honest I rarley apply any moisturizing products in my hair while I'm weaved up. It depends on whether I'm rocking straight or curly hair, but either way I'll use oil inside a bottle with a nozle top so I can get to my salp. Below is my regular routine without weave:

-Clarify 1x a month
-Wash/DC 1x a week
-Protein every 2 weeks
-Co-Wash as needed
-Moisturize & seal as needed
-Trim ends every 3 months

Now, I hope this helps some of ya'll that are looking for some advice when caring for your hair while in a ps. Enjoy!
